Harnessing Phase Separation for the Development of High‐Performance Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydrogels are indispensable for the development of next‐generation bioelectronics, soft robotics, and biomedical devices, where their mechanical properties determine performance and reliability. Among strategies to enhance hydrogel mechanics, phase separation enables controlled heterogeneity resulting in gel networks that are reinforced by ...

Multiferroic‐Centric Materials and Systems Engineering for Battery Applications: An Insight Into Mechanisms, Strategies, and Characterizations

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multiferroic order parameters – polarization, magnetization, and ferroelastic strain – are positioned as dynamic design variables for batteries. Their mechanistic roles, practical tuning through fabrication and external fields, and ferroic‐resolved characterization routes are unified into a closed‐loop framework, revealing how coupled ferroic responses

Polarization Dynamics in Ferroelectrics: Insights Enabled by Machine Learning Molecular Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Machine learning molecular dynamics is presented as a route to capture polarization switching, domain wall kinetics, topological polar textures, and polar mechanical coupling beyond the limits of conventional atomistic methods. This Perspective surveys recent progress and identifies key methodological directions, including long‐range electrostatics ...

Quantum state transfer via acoustic edge states in a 2D optomechanical array

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2019
We propose a novel hybrid platform where solid-state spin qubits are coupled to the acoustic modes of a two-dimensional array of optomechanical (OM) nano cavities.

Non‐Hermitian Stealthy Hyperuniformity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A framework for non‐Hermitian extensions of hyperuniformity and stealthiness is proposed, generalizing PT‐symmetric gain‐loss crystals to correlated disorder in the weak‐scattering limit. By engineering real‐imaginary correlations of the material potential, this framework enables directional scattering phases inaccessible in Hermitian materials ...

Customizing acoustic dirac cones and topological insulators in square lattices by topology optimization

open access: yesJournal of Sound and Vibration, 2021
Abstract Dirac point, the cornerstone of topological insulators, has been attracting ever-increasing attention due to its extraordinary properties. In this paper, a bottom-up topology optimization approach is established to systematically design the acoustic Dirac cones with customized double, triple and quadruple degeneracies at different wavelength

Twist-projected two-dimensional acoustic topological insulators [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2019
Acoustic analogs of electronic or photonic topological insulators provide unique approaches to manipulate sound wave propagation. Inspired by twist-induced topological photonic insulators, here we propose a type of two-dimensional acoustic topological insulator (TI) via projecting a section of a three-dimensional twisting structure to a plane ...

Exceptional Antimodes in Multi‐Drive Cavity Magnonics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Driven‐dissipative cavity‐magnonics provides a flexible platform for engineering non‐Hermitian physics such as exceptional points. Here, using a four‐port, three‐mode system with controllable microwave interference, antimodes and coherent perfect extinction (CPE) are realized, enabling active tuning to antimode exceptional points.
