This review provides an overview of triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG)–based biomedical applications by classifying studies into electronic and ionic systems across attachable and implantable platforms. It summarizes key material choices, device structures, and working mechanisms that characterize current TENG‐based research, and outlines six future ...

Linear and nonlinear acoustic wave propagation in the atmosphere [PDF]
The investigation of the acoustic wave propagation theory and numerical implementation for the situation of an isothermal atmosphere is described. A one-dimensional model to validate an asymptotic theory and a 3-D situation to relate to a realistic ...

[Treatment of acoustic neuroma].
Acoustic neuroma is the most common tumour in the cerebello-pontine angle. We present the results after surgery in 99 cases, and the natural course of the disease in 82 patients followed for up to 20 years (mean 3 years).During the observation period, 43% of the tumours increased in size. 36% of patients suffered increasing hearing loss.

Laser‐Assisted Phase Engineering of 2D MoS2 for Efficient Solution‐Processed Electronics
Here, local laser‐assisted phase transition from solution‐processed phase‐pure 1T′ to 2H MoS2 is shown to critically depend on the irradiation atmosphere. While processing in air leads to damaged insulating regions, inert conditions yield semiconducting 2H domains, enabling direct field‐effect transistor patterning with optimized lateral 1T′‐2H MoS2 ...

Switchable Magnonic Crystals Based on Spin Crossover/CrSBr Heterostructures
Multiscale modeling is employed to investigate the functionality of a light‐controlled, tunable magnonic crystal based on spin‐crossover Fe‐pz molecules integrated with a monolayer of CrSBr. Ab initio simulations confirm that the molecules remain functional on the CrSBr surface, while a semiclassical elastic model demonstrates that light‐induced ...

Reduction of Noise from a Fan Stage for a Turbofan Engine by Use of Long-Chord Acoustically-Treated Stator Vanes [PDF]
A set of acoustically-treated long-chord vanes was designed to replace the vanes in an existing fan stage to investigate the noise reduction possibilities of both increased stator chord length and a method of incorporating acoustic damping material.

Inversions of statistical parameters of an acoustic signal in range-dependent environments with applications in ocean acoustic tomography [PDF]
The paper presents an application of a method for the characterization of underwater acoustic signals based on the statistics of their wavelet transform sub-band coefficients in range-dependent environments. As it was illustrated in previous works, this
