Acousto Optics for Cerebral Blood Flow Monitoring

Biophotonics Congress: Optics in the Life Sciences Congress 2019 (BODA,BRAIN,NTM,OMA,OMP), 2019
Acousto-optic sensing, using ultrasound-modulated light in live tissue, enables non-invasive, continuous monitoring of blood flow in the brain. Preclinical and clinical data demonstrate agreement with other modalities for blood flow sensing and its ...

Acousto-optics and acousto-optical components

2020

Acousto-optic photonic switch

Optics News, 1989
An acousto-optic architecture is presented to implement a nonblocking space-division switch with O(N) complexity. Signal degradation is minimal so that the switch is suitable for nonregenerative application within optical networks; it is also capable of rapid reconfiguration. Experiments for a 1 x 4 switch show an insertion loss ranging from 4.6 to 5.6

The cologne acousto-optical spectrometers

Experimental Astronomy, 1989
The present state of the art of acousto optical spectrometer (AOS) development for spectroscopy is reviewed with special emphasis given to the University of Cologne built systems. The underlying principles of acousto optical detection are discussed and are used for an in depth analysis of limitations and an optimal use of this powerful spectroscopic ...

Acousto-optic supermultispectral imaging

Applied Optics, 1993
An assumption of supermultispectral imaging is presented. The focal point is to encode an object between spatial and spectral information with a tunable bandpass filter, which is called the spatial-spectral encoder. Theoretical and experimental results have verified that the assumption is correct.

Acousto-optic diffraction with allowance for the influence of the acousto-optic cell boundaries

Technical Physics, 2012
The influence of the dimension of an acousto-optic cell in the plane orthogonal to the plane of acousto-optic diffraction on the acoustic field structure and, consequently, on acousto-optic diffraction is studied theoretically and experimentally. A method is suggested for approximate calculation of the acoustic field with regard to the acoustic column ...

Acousto-optic interaction in Raman–Nath acousto-optic diffraction

The European Physical Journal D, 2019
In this article, acousto-optic interaction in Raman–Nath acousto-optic diffraction has been discussed. By studying the relations between the power of the diffracted light and its origin in the ultrasonic field, we found that the phase of the diffracted light is modulated temporally and spatially by the ultrasonic wave.

Image reconstruction for acousto-optics towards quantitative imaging

, 2017
La localisation par la Lumière d’objets millimétriques ou sub-millimétriques dans des milieux épais fortement diffusants de plusieurs centimètres d’épaisseur est un réel challenge dans de nombreux domaines comme par exemple la Sécurité (détection de ...
