Acousto-optic scanning spatial-switching multiphoton lithography

open access: yesInternational Journal of Extreme Manufacturing, 2023
Nano-3D printing has obtained widespread attention owing to its capacity to manufacture end-use components with nano-scale features in recent years. Multiphoton lithography (MPL) is one of the most promising 3D nanomanufacturing technologies, which has ...

Terahertz Response of Acoustically-Driven Optical Phonons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The manipulation of TO-phonon polaritons and the terahertz (THz) light field associated with them by means of an ultra-sound acoustic wave is proposed and illustrated by calculating the TO-phonon-mediated THz response of acoustically-pumped CuCl and TlCl

Repetition rate tunable single-longitudinal-mode acoustic-optical Q-switched nanosecond laser

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2023
Repetition rate-tunable single-longitudinal-mode (SLM) lasers are in wide demand for light detection and ranging. This study proposes an SLM acoustic-optical Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser based on a short-cavity scheme.

Composite acousto-optical modulation

open access: yesOptics Express, 2022
We propose a composite acousto-optical modulation (AOM) scheme for wide-band, efficient modulation of CW and pulsed lasers. We show that by adjusting the amplitudes and phases of weakly-driven daughter AOMs, diffraction beyond the Bragg condition can be achieved with exceptional efficiencies.

Superconducting acousto-optic phase modulator

open access: yesOptics Express, 2021
We report the development of a superconducting acousto-optic phase modulator fabricated on a lithium niobate substrate. A titanium-diffused optical waveguide is placed in a surface acoustic wave resonator, where the electrodes for mirrors and an interdigitated transducer are made of a superconducting niobium titanium nitride thin film.

High-resolution, large dynamic range fiber length measurement based on frequency-shifted asymmetrical Sagnac interferometer [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a single-mode fiber length and dispersion measurement system based on a novel frequency-shifted asymmetric Sagnac interferometer incorporating an acousto-optic modulator (AOM).

Ultrasound-modulated optical tomography for thick tissue imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
Continuous-wave ultrasonic modulation of scattered laser light has been used to image objects in tissue-simulating turbid media for the first time. We hypothesize that the ultrasound wave focused into the turbid media modulates the laser light passing ...
