Natural Rubber/Acrylonitrile Butadiene Rubber Blend Membranes: Vapor Permeation Properties
Chemical Engineering & Technology, 2009AbstractNatural rubber (NR)/Acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) blend membranes, prepared by using dicumyl peroxide as the crosslinking agent, were tested for their vapor permeation characteristics. The permeation studies were conducted using three chlorinated hydrocarbons, viz. dichloro methane, chloroform, and carbon tetrachloride.

AbstractBecause of the structural dissimilarity, natural rubber (NR) and acrylonitrile–butadiene rubber (NBR) are immiscible, and compatibilizers are used during their blending. Neoprene or chloroprene rubber (CR) has a polar chlorine part and a nonpolar hydrocarbon part.

Fracture behaviour of acrylonitrile–butadiene rubber/clay nanocomposite
Polymer International, 2001AbstractA new fracture behaviour is described for acrylonitrile–butadiene rubber/clay nanocomposite. The nanocomposite is prepared by melt mixing the organo‐treated montmorillonite into the rubber matrix, together with a peroxide curative, and crosslinked by conventional compression moulding for typical rubbers.

Investigation of electrically conductive acrylonitrile‐butadiene rubber
Journal of Vinyl and Additive Technology, 2007Abstract Electrically conductive acrylonitrile‐butadiene rubbers (NBRs) containing carbon black (CB) as conductive filler were prepared in order to investigate their electrical and mechanical properties. The effects of conductive CB loading, temperature, acrylonitrile content, crosslinking density of vulcanizates, and plasticizer on ...

ACRYLONITRILE–BUTADIENE RUBBER STABILIZED BY METHACRYLAMIDES AS ANTIOXIDANTS
Polymer-Plastics Technology and Engineering, 2000Methacryloyl chloride was reacted with 4-amino and 4-thiophenols to provide the corresponding methacrylamides. These compounds were incorporated in NBR mixes to be evaluated as antioxidants for NBR oil-seal products in comparison with the industrial antioxidant phenyl-B-naphthylamine (PBN).

Electron‐beam curing of hydrogenated acrylonitrile–butadiene rubber
Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2005AbstractThe electron‐beam‐induced crosslinking of hydrogenated acrylonitrile–butadiene rubber (HNBR) was investigated. HNBR sheets were exposed to electron‐beam irradiation in air at a room temperature of 25 ± 2°C over a dose range of 0–20 Mrad. An attempt was made to correlate the structure of the irradiated rubber with the properties.

Polythiophene/acrylonitrile butadiene rubber as an artificial muscle
2007 7th IEEE Conference on Nanotechnology (IEEE NANO), 2007Acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) and blends of poly(3-thiopheneacetic acid)/ acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, NBR/P3TAA, were prepared to investigate electrorheological properties, dielectric properties, and electrical conductivities. Electrorheological properties were carried out under an oscillatory shear mode in range of frequency from 0.1 to 100
