Stressor‐ and Tissue‐Specific Regulation of the Corticotropin‐Releasing Factor System Across Epithelial Tissues in Rainbow Trout

The gill and intestinal corticotropin‐releasing factor (CRF) systems in rainbow trout are differentially regulated by immune, osmotic, and nutritional stressors. Seawater transfer suppressed gill CRF system transcription and induced time‐dependent changes in the middle intestine. An immune challenge (vaccination) altered only intestinal CRF expression.
