DIVERSITY OF ACTINOMYCETES FROM EKA KARYA BOTANICAL GARDEN, BALI

open access: yesBiotropia: The Southeast Asian Journal of Tropical Biology, 2016
A total of 229 strains of actinomycetes were isolated and identified by full sequence of 16S rRNA gene analysis. Samples consisted of 18 soil and 20 leaf-litter were collected from Eka Karya Botanical Garden, Bali Island, Indonesia.

TAXONOMIC PRINCIPLES IN THE ACTINOMYCETES [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1960
Problems in the systematics and classification of actinomycetes have attracted many investigators in recent years. Increased interest in the actinomycetes is due to the need for delineating specific antagonistic microorganisms and exploring them as a source of new, desirable antibiotics. As everywhere in biology, the most difficult and complicated, but

Actinomycetes studies in Tunisia

open access: yesResearch in Microbiology
Tunisia, located in North Africa, has a diverse topography along the Mediterranean Sea to the Sahara Desert. These environments encompass oases, rhizosphere soils, desert deposits, saline wetlands, offshore oilrigs, and ancient monument rocks. The country's varied environments have led to the isolation of a multitude of actinomycetes.
