The corrosive activity of fluxes

Microelectronics Reliability, 1975
Abstract The corrosive effects of fluxes on conductive paths are one of the major factors limiting the reliability of electronic equipment. The process begins from the moment when flux touches the metal surface and lasts during the process of soldering, until the apparatus is washed.

Acute exercise rapidly activates hepatic mitophagic flux

Journal of Applied Physiology, 2022
This study provides evidence that acute exercise activates hepatic mitophagic flux and mitochondrial polyubiquitination while additionally revealing specific receptor-mediated proteins by which exercise maintains mitochondrial quality control in the liver.

Laser welding with activating flux

Science and Technology of Welding and Joining, 2001
The effect on laser welding of activating flux, originally developed to improve penetration depth for tungsten inert gas welding, was investigated. Both mild and stainless steels were tested. Results show that weld penetration capability relates closely to the laser power level and welding speed of the process.

An Activity Number for Fluxes

Circuit World, 1990
Current classification of fluxes is typically on the basis of a qualitative process with parameters like residue activity in a water extract or the ability to dissolve copper in a thin mirror film. The capability of quantitatively ranking fluxes by their total reaction capacity and reaction rate with copper oxide would provide valuable data for process

Cyclic activation flux monitor

Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1976
Abstract A simple circuit has been designed which accurately determines the effective flux in cyclic activation analysis, allowing for fluctuations in neutron flux and variations in activation sequence. Theoretical analysis of the cyclic process is also given.

Active Region Evolution and Solar Flux Variations

Solar Physics, 1994
The goal of this study is to relate the changes in the solar radiative output to the growth and decay of magnetic active regions. We will test the assumption that each index of radiation variability is a convolution of an active-region magnetic driving function and a response function.

Model of Mercury Flux Associated with Volcanic Activity

Bulletin of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, 2018
Volcanic activity is one of the primary sources of mercury in the earth's ecosystem. In this work, volcanic rocks from four geotectonically distinct localities (the Czech Republic - intraplate, rift-related alkaline basaltic rocks; Iceland - hotspot/rift-related tholeiitic basaltic rocks; Japan - island arc calc-alkaline andesites; and Alaska ...

Anisotropic thermally activated flux flow and flux flow in Bi2Sr2CaCu2Oy crystals

Physica C: Superconductivity, 1994
Abstract The magnetoresistance of two single crystals of Bi 2 Sr 2 CaCu 2 O y was investigated in magnetic fields up to 1.6T with a direction angle, θ, between 0° and 180° with respect to the c -axis. The resistivity of the crystals was analyzed in terms of the interpolative expression 1/ϱ=1/ϱ FF +1/ϱ TAFF , where ϱ FF is the flux flow ...

Solar activity and solar neutrino flux

Nature, 1981
Among discussions of the implications of the Davis experiment1 to detect solar neutrinos, there have been several suggestions that manifestations of solar activity are related to the flux of the neutrinos2–4. For example, it has been implied that (1) the physical processes in the deep interior of the Sun are related to, or even produce, the solar ...
