Dynamic assembly of Hda and the sliding clamp in the regulation of replication licensing [PDF]
Regulatory inactivation of DnaA (RIDA) is one of the major regulatory mechanisms of prokaryotic replication licensing. In RIDA, the Hda-sliding clamp complex loaded onto DNA directly interacts with adenosine triphosphate (ATP)-bound DnaA and stimulates ...

DC-to-DC power supplies are critical components for processors in high performance computing and datacenter servers. Conversion from an intermediate bus voltage (e.g., 12 or 48 V) to the core voltage (∼0.9 V) of processors must be efficient, compact, and

Active Clamped Forward based Active Cell Balancing Converter
This paper proposes an active cell equalizing technology by an active clamped forward converter in which the stored energy in the transformer is recycled to the battery pack. This cell balancing circuit prevents the transformer from saturation which may result in power loss.

Molecular determinants of complexin clamping and activation function
Previously we reported that Synaptotagmin-1 and Complexin synergistically clamp the SNARE assembly process to generate and maintain a pool of docked vesicles that fuse rapidly and synchronously upon Ca 2+ influx (Ramakrishnan et al., 2020).

A Comparative Study of GaN HEMT and Si MOSFET-Based Active Clamp Forward Converters
Compared with conventional forward converters, active clamp forward (ACF) converters have many advantages, including lower voltage stress on the primary power devices, the ability to switch at zero voltage, reduced EMI and duty cycle operation above 50%.

Human-induced stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (hiPSC-CMs) are a valuable tool for studying development, pharmacology, and (inherited) arrhythmias. Unfortunately, hiPSC-CMs are depolarized and spontaneously active, even the working cardiomyocyte subtypes

Searching for New Leads to Treat Epilepsy: Target-Based Virtual Screening for the Discovery of Anticonvulsant Agents [PDF]
The purpose of this investigation is to contribute to the development of new anticonvulsant drugs to treat patients with refractory epilepsy. We applied a virtual screening protocol that involved the search into molecular databases of new compounds and ...

Sustained synchronized neuronal network activity in a human astrocyte co-culture system [PDF]
Impaired neuronal network function is a hallmark of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders such as autism, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer's disease and is typically studied using genetically modified cellular and animal models.

Adiponectin Deficiency Impairs Maternal Metabolic Adaptation to Pregnancy in Mice. [PDF]
Hypoadiponectinemia has been widely observed in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). To investigate the causal role of hypoadiponectinemia in GDM, adiponectin gene knockout (Adipoq-/- ) and wild-type (WT) mice were crossed to produce ...
