Active voltage control using distributed generation on distribution networks

2013 IEEE Grenoble Conference, 2013
The increase of integration of distributed generations (DG) requires the network management to be more active. This paper investigates an active voltage control approach by coordinating the reactive power of DG and the operation of onload tap changer (OLTC).

Distributed simulation of activity networks

Computers & Operations Research, 1988
Abstract Simulation is an application with high degree of inherent parallelism. This parallelism can be beneficially exploited in a multiprocessor or multicomputer system to drastically reduce the simulation time. Distributed simulation on loosely coupled systems involves problem partitioning into components, allocation of components to computing ...

Active distributed RC networks

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1968
This correspondence describes an active-feedback distributed RC (R~C~) network that provides sharp-cutoff low-pass characteristics using a single controlled voltage source. The network, simulated on a digital computer, provides sharp low-pass frequency characteristics similar to those of more complex discrete active RC networks.

Joint Distributed Generation and Active Distribution Network Expansion Planning Considering Active Management of Network

2019 27th Iranian Conference on Electrical Engineering (ICEE), 2019
Joint multistage expansion planning of active distribution network (ADN) is well investigated in this paper. This expansion model considers the effects of optimal operating conditions in the planning studies. In the proposed model, for each planning time stage, several operating scenarios are defined based on operational status of the network.
