Distributed processing, reconfigurable processes and active network [PDF]
The fast spread of the Internet and the increasing demands of the service are leading to radical changes in the structure and management of underlying telecommunications systems. Active networks (ANs) offer the ability to program the network on a per-router, per-user, or even per-packet basis, thus promise greater flexibility than current networks.

Cooperative Centralised and Decentralised Energy Management Systems for Active Networks
The paper proposes a hierarchical control for active networks that integrates both centralized and decentralized EMS. One day-ahead, the centralized EMS schedules the dispatching of the active resources for the next day.

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

The interconnection in active distribution networks
The active distribution network (AN) has been mentioned recently to adapt with a large-scale implementation of distributed generators. One of its enhancements is increasing interconnections to provide more than one power flow path among local control areas.

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.
