This study presents a novel exponential proportional‐derivative controller with filter (exp‐PDN) for stabilising the nonlinear and underactuated ball and beam system. Modified Active Disturbance Rejection Control Tuning Based on Desired Maximum Sensitivity Constraints for a Class of High‐Order Inertial Processes

A quantitative tuning rule for input modified active disturbance rejection control is derived based on the Nyquist asymptote and desired maximum sensitivity constraint.
