Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Tuning Technique for Active FSS Arrays [PDF]
A novel biasing technique is described for active frequency selective slot arrays. The bandpass response can be switched between transmitting and reflecting modes, or tuned over a predetermined frequency range using two different biasing circuit ...

Multi-Level Open End Windings Multi-Motor Drives
A multi-level open-end winding converter topology for multiple-motor drives is presented featuring a main multi-level inverter processing the power delivered to the motors and an active filter based on an auxiliary two-level inverter.

RF Active Inductors Small-Signal Design by Means of Conformal Transformations
In this work we present a synthesis method for the design of RF and microwave Active Inductors (AI) based on S-parameters and conformal transformations. The proposed approach allows to study and define the desired AI characteristics directly managing the

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

K-Band MMIC Active Inductor-Based Bandpass Filter Suitable for Industrial Applications
The availability of integrated electronic filters for industrial applications is a missing block at microwave frequencies, in spite of the fact that filters have a crucial role in modern transceivers.

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Improved adaptive notch filter-based active damping method for shunt active power filter with LCL-filter [PDF]
The LCL-filter has been recently used with grid-connected converters to mitigate switching ripple harmonics. The LCL-filter presents a better attenuation performance for switching ripple harmonics in comparison with L- and LC-type filters.
