Comparison of Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Energy Absorbers Under Uniaxial Compressive Loading
This study investigates LCD 3D printed Triply Periodic Minimal Surface (TPMS) structures as mechanical energy absorbers. By comparing various base designs and layered combinations under uniaxial compression, it identifies that a Diamond‐Gyroid sandwich structure offers superior performance.

Active layer of variable thickness: The limiting regime of anode catalyst layer operation in a DMFC
The model of anode catalyst layer performance in a direct methanol fuel cell is developed. The model takes into account finite rate of methanol adsorption on the catalyst surface. The solution to the problem is reduced to calculation of integral. This solution reveals a novel mode of the catalyst layer operation: the regime with variable thickness of ...

A reconfigurable logic‐in‐memory cell composed of triple‐gated feedback field‐effect transistors implements multiple combinational logic functions within a single configuration. By utilizing program gates as dynamic input terminals, the proposed cell performs full adder, full subtractor, 2‐to‐1 multiplexer, and 4‐to‐2 encoder operations without ...

Overcoming data scarcity of active layer thicknesses using geophysics
The thermal imprint of a typical river in the continuous permafrost of Central Yakutia (Siberia, Russia) is studied by active layer thickness measurements along six cross sections, either directly or with geophysical methods. Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) measurements provide permafrost depths comparable to ...

High Arctic Vegetation Communities With a Thick Moss Layer Slow Active Layer Thaw
AbstractSvalbards permafrost is thawing as a direct consequence of climate change. In the Low Arctic, vegetation has been shown to slow down and reduce the active layer thaw, yet it is unknown whether this also applies to High Arctic regions like Svalbard where vegetation is smaller, sparser, and thus likely less able to insulate the soil.

X‐ray computed tomography reveals how process‐induced defects evolve from green to sintered states in Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF)‐manufactured 17‐4PH stainless steel. Internal porosity, weakest cross‐sections, and fracture locations show strong correlation with tensile performance, demonstrating the potential of computed tomography (CT)‐based ...
