Packed for Ossification: High‐Density Bioprinting of hPDC Spheroids in HAMA Toward Endochondral Ossification

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Human periosteum‐derived cell spheroids bioprinted at high density within a hyaluronic acid matrix promote fusion and hypertrophic cartilage formation in vitro. Early encapsulation enhances spheroid interaction and matrix maturation, generating scalable cartilage templates intended for endochondral bone regeneration.

Nonlinear Control of an Active Magnetic Bearing with Output Constraint

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper, an appropriate control strategy is proposed to handle the nonlinear dynamics of an active magnetic bearing (AMB). The goal of the control design is to drive the AMB rotor to the origin with improved transient response.

Fructose‐Based Single‐Chain Polymer Nanoparticles for GLUT1–Mediated Delivery: Impact of Polymer Design on Uptake and In Vivo Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Single‐chain nanoparticles have been proposed as drug delivery carriers, but adding a tail can significantly enhance their performance. This was demonstrated using a tadpole‐like structure comprising a head prepared from a UV‐crosslinked fructose‐based glycopolymer capable of targeting GLUT receptors, combined with a PEG‐based tail. Compared with other

Multivariable H∞ control for an active magnetic bearing flywheel system

open access: yes, 2010
A state-space model with uncertainties for an active magnetic bearing energy storage flywheel system (Fly-UPS) is developed. A multivariable robust H∞ controller for the Fly-UPS is then synthesised.
