Recovering a matrix from a sampling of its entries is a problem of rapidly growing interest and has been studied under the name of matrix completion. It occurs in many areas of engineering and applied science. In most machine learning and data mining applications, it is possible to leverage the expertise of human oracles to improve the performance of ...

Enzymatic activity in the activated-sludge floc matrix
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 1995The enzymatic activity of activated sludge was investigated with special emphasis on the localization of the enzymes in the sludge floc matrix. Activated sludge from an advanced activated-sludge treatment plant, performing biological N and P removal, was used. An enzymatic fingerprint was established using a panel of six different enzymes.

Active matrix monolithic micro‐LED full‐color micro‐display
Journal of the Society for Information Display, 2020An active matrix monolithic micro‐LED full‐color micro‐display with a pixel density of 317 ppi is demonstrated. Starting from large‐scale and low‐cost GaN‐on‐Si epilayers, monolithic 64 × 36 blue micro‐LED arrays are fabricated and further transformed to

Matrix Metalloproteinases and Leukocyte Activation
2017As their name implies, matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are thought to degrade extracellular matrix proteins, a function that is indeed performed by some members. However, regardless of their cell source, matrix degradation is not the only function of these enzymes.
