This chapter introduces principles, algorithms, and applications of active noise control (ANC) systems. We emphasize the practical aspects of ANC systems in terms of adaptive algorithms for real-world applications. The basic algorithm for ANC is first developed and analyzed based on broadband feedforward control.

Design and Evaluation of Active Noise Control on Machinery Noise
Construction workers and residents live near around construction sites are exposed to noises that might cause hearing loss, high blood pressure, heart disease, sleep disturbance and stress. Regulations has been carried out by national governments to limit the maximum permissible noise levels for construction works.

Active Noise Control for Dishwasher noise
The dishwasher is a useful home appliance and continually used for automatically washing dishes. It's commonly placed in the kitchen with built-in style for practicality and better use of space. In this environment, people are easily exposed to dishwasher noise, so it is an important issue for the consumers, especially for the people living in open and

The main purpose of this report is to provide a deeper and more adequate understanding of active noise control (ANC). ANC is now developed in many directions; many ex-periments have been done, proving that several kinds of noise and vibration can be at-tenuated substantially by active devices.

Active Noise Control System for Reducing MR Noise
We propose an active noise control (ANC) system for reducing periodic noise generated in a high magnetic field such as noise generated from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) devices (MR noise). The proposed ANC system utilizes optical microphones and piezoelectric loudspeakers, because specific acoustic equipment is required to overcome the high-field ...

Directional active noise control for drone noise reduction
Drones have become essential tools for applications ranging from aerial surveillance to last-mile delivery, raising concerns about noise pollution in populated environments. This paper presents a directional active noise control (ANC) framework that targets far-field noise reduction, rather than local suppression.
