A DSP active filter for power conditioning

1999 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings. ICASSP99 (Cat. No.99CH36258), 1999
This paper presents a DSP controlled active filter for power conditioning, The active filter is designed to cancel lower order harmonics generated by nonlinear loads using a series resonant LC tank tuned to a high frequency along with a pulse-width modulation (PWM) rectifier topology.

Application of adaptive filters in active power filters

2009 Brazilian Power Electronics Conference, 2009
This paper presents a new idea applied to adaptive filters for harmonic detection in shunt active power filters. Improve the speed of convergence of the adaptive filter and reduces the steady-state error are the finals objectives of the strategy. Two cases are presented and discussed, one with a Finite Impulse Response (FIR) adaptive filter with 32 ...

Design of LCL-Filter with Active Damping for Active Power Filter

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
In this paper, the influence of gird-side and inverter-side inductance on LCL-filter performance is studied. The design method of LCL-filter applied in three-phase shunt active power filter (SAPF) is proposed. An active damping strategy using the current feedback of the filter capacitor is adopted to suppress the resonance.

Simulation and comparison between hybrid active power filter and shunt active power filter

2015 International Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Signals, Communication and Optimization (EESCO), 2015
The shunt active power filters (SAPFs) and hybrid active power filter (HAPF) is used for practical solution to solve the electric power quality, (EPQ) issues. The emerging power-electronic devices and the new developments in digital signal processing (DSP), have made possible its practical use. The active power filters can compensate the nonlinear load

An active power bandpass filter

1978 IEEE Power Electronics Specialists Conference, 1978
This paper describes a new approach to the realization of an active 60 hz bandpass power filter. The system uses power switching to minimize attenuation losses and negative feedback to obtain narrowband filtering with a high degree of attenuation, without using large inductors and capacitors.

An Overview of Active Power Filter

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
APF has its outstanding features comparing with PPF, it is a new type harmonic suppression and reactive power compensation device. This paper makes an introduction about two key technologies about APF, and it makes a prediction to the trend of the key technologies. APF is the main harmonic suppression technique at present and in the future. At present,

Active Power Filters

2016
In this chapter, the active power filters are discussed. In Sect. 3.1, the development of active power filters are reviewed; active power filters with different circuit configurations are given and compared. The three-phase four-wire active power filter using a two level four-leg voltage source inverter (VSI) is discussed in Sect. 3.2. Three-phase four-
