Power Distribution Strategy Considering Active Power Loss for DFIGs Wind Farm

open access: yesJournal of Power and Energy Engineering, 2014
With the development of concentrated wind power areas, new energy’s dispatching problems are more prominent with its fast expansion. However, we can maximize the utilization of wind power under power curtailment conditions by optimal wind power dispatching. The paper studies on the basic theories of wind power turbines, and analyses the power’s control

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Integrated Algorithm for Decreasing Active Power Loss

open access: yesIAES International Journal of Artificial Intelligence (IJ-AI), 2018
This paper projects an Integrated Algorithm (IA) for solving optimal reactive power problem. Quick convergence of the Cuckoo Search (CS), the vibrant root change of the Firefly Algorithm (FA), and the incessant position modernization of the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) has been combined to form the Integrated Algorithm (IA).

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Assessment of Voltage Unbalance and Power Losses in Distribution Network Integrated With PVs and EV Charging Stations

open access: yesEnergy Science & Engineering
Unequal load distribution in three‐phase power distribution networks leads to voltage unbalance and decreased network efficiency. Integration of photovoltaics (PVs) and electric vehicle charging stations (EVCSs) into such networks is a challenging task ...
