On the Influence of AQM on Serialization of Packet Losses

open access: yesSensors, 2023
We study the influence of the active queue management mechanism based on the queue size on the serialization of packet losses, i.e., the occurrences of losses in long, consecutive series. We use a traffic model able to mimic precisely the autocorrelation

A genetic algorithm for the design of a fuzzy controller for active queue management

open access: yes, 2003
Active queue management (AQM) policies are those policies of router queue management that allow for the detection of network congestion, the notification of such occurrences to the hosts on the network borders, and the adoption of a suitable control ...

Faster and Durable: A Cell‐to‐System Validation of a Low‐Degradation Fast‐Charge Protocol for Li‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A physics‐based framework resolving graphite phase‐separation dynamics establishes a predictive, degradation‐aware fast‐charging methodology for commercial Li‐ion batteries. The resulting model‐informed protocol achieves 20%–80% state‐of‐charge in 14 min while matching the long‐term degradation of a commercial 25‐minute EV strategy.

The HSBQ Algorithm with Triple-play Services for Broadband Hybrid Satellite Constellation Communication System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advances in Telecommunications, Electrotechnics, Signals and Systems, 2016
The HSBQ algorithm is the one of active queue management algorithms, which orders to avoid high packet loss rates and control stable stream queue. That is the problem of calculation of the drop probability for both queue length stability and bandwidth ...

Is Youth's Engagement in Agribusiness an Opportunity or a Necessity? A Closer Look at the Situation in South Kivu, Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Despite the broad focus on necessity‐ and opportunity‐driven entrepreneurship in research and policy, the entrepreneurial dichotomy within the agribusiness context has not been adequately addressed. This study contributes to closing this knowledge gap by examining youth's perceptions of agribusiness through the lens of the push‐pull motivation

Design of Network Traffic Congestion Controller with PI AQM Based on ITAE Index [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electronics and Telecommunications, 2020
Establishing the proper values of controller parameters is the most important thing to design in active queue management (AQM) for achieving excellent performance in handling network congestion.

Intelligent Active Queue Management Using Explicit Congestion Notification [PDF]

open access: yesGlobal Communications Conference, 2019
As more end devices are getting connected, the Internet will become more congested. Various congestion control techniques have been developed either on transport or network layers.

The Necessity of Dynamic Workflow Managers for Advancing Self‐Driving Labs and Optimizers

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
We assess the maturity and integration readiness of key methodologies for Materials Acceleration Platforms, highlighting the need for dynamic workflow managers. Demonstrating this, we integrate PerQueue into a color‐mixing robot, showing how flexible orchestration improves coordination and optimization.

Active Queue Management Supporting TCP Flows Using Disturbance Observer and Smith Predictor

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Active queue management (AQM) is a technique to avoid serious congestion of the transmission control protocol (TCP) flows at a router. AQM based on control theory, which utilizes congestion controllers such as proportional-derivative (PD) controller or ...

The Interoperability Challenge in DFT Workflows Across Implementations

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Interoperability and cross‐validation remain major challenges in the computational materials science. In this work, we introduce a common input/output standard that enables internal translation across multiple workflow managers—AiiDA, PerQueue, Pipeline Pilot, and SimStack—while producing results in a unified schema.
