IASM: Individualized activity space modeler
Researchers from various disciplines have long been interested in analyzing and describing human mobility patterns. Activity space (AS), defined as an area encapsulating daily human mobility and activities, has been at the center of this interest. However, given the applied nature of research in this field and the complexity that advanced geographical ...

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Learning Activity Spaces: Towards Flexibility in Learning Design?
Designing a computer-supported learning scenario involving a constructivist approach of learning lays on a paradox. On the one hand, learning flows must be precisely described - including role distribution, required resources, tools, and scaffolds - to be realized in computer-supported environments.

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Long-Term Variations in Background Bias and Magnetic Field Noise in HSOS/SMFT Observations
The Solar Magnetic Field Telescope (SMFT) at Huairou Solar Observing Station (HSOS) has conducted continuous observations of solar vector magnetic fields for nearly four decades, and while the primary optical system remains unchanged, critical components—

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Solar Activity and Coronal Mass Ejections: Teacher's Guide [PDF]
In this activity, students investigate solar activity and discover that the Sun constantly emits matter into space in the form of the solar wind. They will also find that from time to time the sun also ejects clouds of charged particles in an event ...
