Dynamic Channel Calibration on a Crystal-Free Mote-on-a-Chip
The single chip integration of a wireless sensor node would allow for cheap, low-power, dust-size devices. The key to realizing this vision is to eliminate bulky off-chip frequency references such as crystal oscillators or resonators, and their ...

UV-Assisted Gate Bias Cycling in Gas-Sensitive Field-Effect Transistors
Static and dynamic responses of a silicon carbide field-effect transistor gas sensor have been investigated at two different gate biases in several test gases. Especially the dynamic effects are gas dependent and can be used for gas identification.

An extended actuator cylinder model: Actuator‐in‐actuator cylinder (AC‐squared) model [PDF]
AbstractIn this paper, the actuator‐in‐actuator cylinder (AC‐squared) model is presented. This model is an extension of the original actuator cylinder model of Madsen and is capable of modelling the effect of a two concentric actuation surfaces in 2D. The induced velocity at every point in the 2D field is affected by the force field acting on the two ...

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Investigation of low-temperature cofired ceramics packages for high-temperature SAW sensors [PDF]
Surface acoustic wave (SAW) temperature sensor devices have been developed for operating temperatures up to and above 1000 °C. A challenging task to make these devices available on the market is to develop an appropriate housing concept.

Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...
