STATINS IN ACUTE CORONARY SYNDROMES

open access: yesЕвразийский Кардиологический Журнал, 2019
This review article provides results of recent studies (ARMYDA, NAPLES II, MIRACL, ARMYDA-ACS, JUPITER, LUNAR) with the use of inhibitors of HMG CoA reductase (statins) in patients with acute coronary syndrome and patients undergoing percutaneous ...

Ticagrelor is Not Superior to Clopidogrel in Patients With Acute Coronary Syndromes Undergoing PCI: A Report from Swedish Coronary Angiography and Angioplasty Registry

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2020
Background Ticagrelor reduces ischaemic end points in acute coronary syndromes. However, outcomes of ticagrelor versus clopidogrel in real‐world patients with acute coronary syndromes treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) remain unclear ...

A New Approach in Risk Stratification by Coronary CT Angiography. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
For a decade, coronary computed tomographic angiography (CCTA) has been used as a promising noninvasive modality for the assessment of coronary artery disease (CAD) as well as cardiovascular risks.

Seipin‐Mediated Lipid Droplet Formation in Cardiomyocytes Ameliorates Cardiac Ischemia/Reperfusion Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lipid droplets (LDs) protect the heart against lipotoxicity in cardiac ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury; however, they are insufficient to prevent cardiomyocyte death. Seipin plays a central role in the insufficient formation of LDs, subsequent lipotoxicity, and myocardial injury during cardiac I/R injury.

Ultrasound‐Boosted Liposomal Prodrug Overcomes Age‐Associated Biodistribution Disparity in Pediatric Solid Tumor Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The age‐associated disparity of nanocarrier biodistribution limits the nanotherapeutics of childhood solid tumors. This study developed an ultrasound‐activated liposomal prodrug (CSCPTL) to overcome the age‐associated disparity of off‐target distribution.

Debate: When should we intervene in unstable angina - Time for an old look?

open access: yesCurrent Controlled Trials in Cardiovascular Medicine, 2000
Current treatment modalities for patients with acute coronary syndromes center on early diagnosis, risk stratification and, increasingly, early treatment including invasive approaches. The appropriate timing of these invasive modalities in the context of

Mendelian Randomization and Double Machine Learning Modeling Reveal Brain Imaging‐Derived Phenotypes as Functional Contributors to 18 Autoimmune Inflammatory Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This schematic integrates the eight statistically significant causal relationships identified between 1,366 brain imaging‐derived phenotypes (IDPs) and 18 autoimmune inflammatory diseases (AIDs). Arrows indicate the direction of causality inferred from bidirectional two‐sample MR analyses.
