Prolonged sirolimus administration after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation is associated with decreased risk for moderate-severe chronic graft-versus-host disease

open access: yesHaematologica, 2015
Effective pharmacological strategies employed in allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation should prevent serious chronic graft-versus-host disease and facilitate donor-recipient immune tolerance.

Endowing Flexibility of Alveolar Type II Cells to Recapitulate Development From Lung Bud to Alveoli

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Adult human alveolar type 2 cells are chemically reprogrammed into expandable alveolar progenitor‐like cells that acquire bud tip‐like features during expansion and form organoids that mature into alveolar‐like structures. These organoids model influenza A virus infection and innate immune responses in vitro, while transplanted cells engraft ...

Enhanced mitochondrial activity reshapes a gut microbiota profile that delays NASH progression

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
Improved mitochondrial activity, due to the lack of methylation‐controlled J protein (MCJ), creates a specific microbiota signature that when transferred through cecal microbiota transplantation delays NASH progression by restoring the gut‐liver axis and enhancing hepatic fatty acid oxidation.

Lenalidomide as salvage treatment for multiple myeloma relapsing after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation: a report from the French Society of Bone Marrow and Cellular Therapy

open access: yesHaematologica, 2013
Optimal salvage treatment for multiple myeloma relapsing after allogeneic stem cell transplantation remains to be determined. Usually, such patients have been heavily pre-treated and present at relapse with a relatively refractory disease ...

A Gut‐Brain Axis Underlying Succinate‐Associated Compulsive‐Like Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gut‐derived succinate is associated with an excitatory‐inhibitory imbalance in dmPFC glutamatergic neurons, involving microglial SUCNR1 activation and vagal afferent signaling via upregulated gut 5‐HT4 receptors along the DVC‐CeA‐dmPFC circuit, changes that are linked to excessive compulsive‐like behavior.

Combinatorial targeting of G‐protein‐coupled bile acid receptor 1 and cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 reveals a mechanistic role for bile acids and leukotrienes in drug‐induced liver injury

open access: yesHepatology, EarlyView., 2022
CHIN117 is a dual cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1 (CYSLTR1) antagonist and G‐protein‐coupled bile acid receptor 1 (GPBAR1) agonist. In the liver, GPBAR1 and CYSLTR1 are coexpressed by liver sinusoidal endothelial cells (LSECs), HSCs, circulating monocytes/macrophages, and liver resident macrophages (Kupffer cells).

Continuous Molecular Monitoring Using Electrochemical Aptamer‐Based Sensors: Remaining Challenges for Long‐Term In Vivo Deployment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Continuous molecular monitoring using electrochemical aptamer‐based sensors enables real‐time tracking of dynamic biomarkers with transformative potential for precision medicine. Achieving clinically relevant month‐long stability remains a central challenge due to multiple degradation pathways.

Immunologic tolerance to skin allograft after graft-versus-host disease.

open access: yes, 2007
We report the observation of a young girl suffering from acute myeloid luekemia who developed chronic graft-versus-host disease with major skin involvement after a bone marrow graft from her histocompatible brother. She developed an immunologic tolerance

CD112 Lactylation Drives Dual Immune Evasion From CD8+ T Cells and NK Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AARS2 functions as an intracellular lactate sensor and lactyltransferase, catalyzing CD112 K412 lactylation to block ubiquitination‐dependent degradation and stabilize CD112. This pathway suppresses CD8+ T‐cell and NK‐cell cytotoxicity, enabling dual immune evasion.
