Comparison of the Effect of Alemtuzumab versus Standard Immune Induction on Early Kidney Allograft Function in Shiraz Transplant Center

open access: yesInternational Journal of Organ Transplantation Medicine, 2015
Background: Induction therapy regimens classified as conventional immunosuppressive agents and lower doses of conventional agents combined with antibodies against T-cell antigens have been purposed to prevent acute rejection after renal transplantation ...

Effects of antirejection therapies for early subclinical acute rejection in renal transplant protocol biopsies

open access: yesRenal Replacement Therapy, 2022
Background Although recently strengthened immunosuppression protocols have decreased the incidence of clinical acute rejection of renal transplants, subclinical acute rejection and borderline changes remain problematic.

AIM2 as a putative target in acute kidney graft rejection

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2022
Acute rejection (AR) is a process triggered via the recognition of grafted organ-derived antigens by the immune system, which could present as a life-threatening condition. In the context of a kidney transplant, despite improvement with immunosuppressive

Association of medication non-adherence with short-term allograft loss after the treatment of severe acute kidney transplant rejection

open access: yesBMC Nephrology, 2019
Background Medication non-adherence is a risk factor for acute kidney transplant rejection. The association of non-adherence with short-term allograft loss in patients who develop acute rejection and are subsequently treated with maximal therapy is ...
