Mathematical Model and Optimal Control of the Transmission Dynamics of Avian Spirochaetosis (TICK Fever) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
Avian Spirochaetosis is an acute endemic tick-borne disease of birds, caused by Borrelia anserins, a species of Borrelia bacteria. In this paper, we present a compartmental Mathematical model of the disease for the bird population and Tick population. The model so constructed was analyzed using methods from dynamical systems theory.

Immunomodulatory Effects of Omega‐3 Fatty Acids: Mechanistic Insights and Health Implications

open access: yesMolecular Nutrition &Food Research, EarlyView.
Omega‐3 fatty acids, derived from dietary sources and supplements, serve as bioactive precursors (ALA, EPA, DHA) that integrate into immune cell membranes. These fatty acids enhance cell membrane fluidity, improve immune cell communication, and modulate key transcription factors like NF‐κB.

A new prediction diagnosis model of incomplete Kawasaki disease based on data mining with big data

open access: yesPediatric Discovery, EarlyView.
In this study, based on a medical big data information mining approach, we mined the independent risk factors for incomplete Kawasaki disease prediction by comparing incomplete Kawasaki disease with related febrile illnesses and constructed an auxiliary diagnostic model used to predict incomplete Kawasaki disease.

Estimating the Malaria Attributable Fever Fraction Accounting for Parasites Being Killed by Fever and Measurement Error [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
Malaria is a parasitic disease that is a major health problem in many tropical regions. The most characteristic symptom of malaria is fever. The fraction of fevers that are attributable to malaria, the malaria attributable fever fraction (MAFF), is an important public health measure for assessing the effect of malaria control programs and other ...
