Fluoride solvation-the case of the missing ion [PDF]
The thermodynamics of fluoride ion solvation in nonaqueous and mixed aqueous solvents are reviewed. Gibbs energies of transfer , ∆tG⁰ (F -) H20-s , indicate that the solvation of the fluoride ion is dominated by hydrogen bonding.

π‐Extended Silyl Enolates as Emerging Platforms in Radical Chemistry
This review covers the emerging role of π‐extended silyl polyenol ethers in radical chemistry. It highlights their versatile roles as electron‐rich SOMOphiles, silyl radical cation precursors, and nucleophilic partners in radical–polar crossover manifolds, while considering recent advances in photoredox catalysis, electrochemistry, and transition metal‐

Nucleophilic Trifluoromethoxylation of Acyl Chlorides: A Direct Route to Trifluoromethyl Esters
A new method for the synthesis of the underexplored trifluoromethyl carboxylic esters using acyl chlorides as readily available feedstocks and in situ‐generated AgOCF3 from silver fluoride and the trifluoromethyl para‐toluenesulfonate has been designed. The reaction works on a large variety of aromatic and aliphatic acyl chlorides, while minimizing the

Recent Applications of Propylene Carbonate as a Solvent in Sustainable Organic Synthesis
This review evaluates propylene carbonate (PC) as a non‐toxic green solvent in organic synthesis, highlighting its performance in key reactions including cross‐couplings, asymmetric hydrogenations, peptide synthesis and biocatalysis. Across these processes, PC delivers yields comparable to conventional and alternative green solvents.
