Control of lecithin biosynthesis in erythrocyte membranes
The detailed relationship between the relative composition of the potential precursor acids, the esterification rates of their CoA thiol ester derivatives, and the relative composition of the fatty acids in the product, lecithin, which was isolated from ...

Sprague‐Dawley rats were used to investigate postprandial metabolic and inflammatory responses following the consumption of an energy‐dense meal. Time‐resolved plasma and liver analyses revealed fluctuations in bile acid levels, particularly cholic acid, along with changes in metabolic intermediates, oxylipins, and inflammatory markers.

Key Regulators of Parasite Biology Viewed Through a Post‐Translational Modification Repertoire
ABSTRACT Parasites are the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in both humans and animals, imposing substantial socioeconomic burdens worldwide. Controlling parasitic diseases has become one of the key issues in achieving “One Health”. Most parasites have sophisticated life cycles exhibiting progressive developmental stages, morphologies, and ...

Recent progress on acyl CoA: lysophospholipid acyltransferase research
Cells of all organisms are enclosed by a plasma membrane containing bipolar lipids, cholesterol, and proteins. Cellular membranes contain several classes of glycerophospholipids, which have numerous structural and functional roles in cells ...

Proteome Analysis of Corynebacterium diphtheriae–Macrophage Interaction
ABSTRACT Contact of Corynebacterium diphtheriae with macrophages induces adaptations on both bacterial and cellular sides. The study presented here was aiming to shed light on the simultaneous intracellular adaptation of the bacteria and changes in the proteome of the phagocytes in response to the internalization of C. diphtheriae.

ABSTRACT Lysine acylation is a rapidly expanding class of post‐translational modifications with largely unexplored functional roles; the study of acylations beyond acetylation is especially impeded by limited methods for their preparation, detection, and characterization in vitro. We previously reported a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based approach

Phospholipids are subjected to remodeling through the Lands cycle to attain appropriate FA compositions. In recent years, at least two families of lysophospholipid acyltransferases have been identified. Acyl-CoA lysocardiolipin acyltransferase 1 (ALCAT1)
