Key Regulators of Parasite Biology Viewed Through a Post‐Translational Modification Repertoire

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Parasites are the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in both humans and animals, imposing substantial socioeconomic burdens worldwide. Controlling parasitic diseases has become one of the key issues in achieving “One Health”. Most parasites have sophisticated life cycles exhibiting progressive developmental stages, morphologies, and ...

Characterization of mouse lysophosphatidic acid acyltransferase 3: an enzyme with dual functions in the testis1[S]

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2009
Glycerophospholipids are structural and functional components of cellular membranes as well as precursors of various lipid mediators. Using acyl-CoAs as donors, glycerophospholipids are formed by the de novo pathway (Kennedy pathway) and modified in the ...

Proteome Analysis of Corynebacterium diphtheriae–Macrophage Interaction

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Contact of Corynebacterium diphtheriae with macrophages induces adaptations on both bacterial and cellular sides. The study presented here was aiming to shed light on the simultaneous intracellular adaptation of the bacteria and changes in the proteome of the phagocytes in response to the internalization of C. diphtheriae.

Relation of lung fatty acid binding protein to the biosynthesis of pulmonary phosphatidic acid and phosphatidylcholine.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1987
The activities of glycerophosphate and lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) acyltransferases were determined using lung microsomes in the presence of lung fatty acid binding protein (FABP).

Probing Enzymatic Acetylation Events in Real Time With NMR Spectroscopy: Insights Into Acyl‐Cofactor Dependent p300 Modification of Histone H4

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lysine acylation is a rapidly expanding class of post‐translational modifications with largely unexplored functional roles; the study of acylations beyond acetylation is especially impeded by limited methods for their preparation, detection, and characterization in vitro. We previously reported a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)‐based approach

Manipulation of Wnt/β‐Catenin Signaling by Synthetic Frizzled Agonist and LRP Antagonist in Organoid Cultures and In Vivo

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Harnessing synthetic key receptor modulators, this study presents a breakthrough in Wnt/β‐catenin regulation. The FZD agonist RRP‐pbFn bypasses LRP5/6 to drive organoid expansion and tissue regeneration, while the LRP antagonist RRP‐Dkk1c eradicates tumors. These tools enable precise pathway control, advancing regenerative and cancer therapies.
