Änderung des Wirtswahlverhaltens dreier Biotypen von Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) nach Anzucht auf verschiedenen Wirtspflanzen (Homoptera: Aphididae).

open access: yes, 1975

ECOLOGICAL STUDIES ON NATURAL ENEMIES ASSOCIATED WITH APHIDS ON ALFALFA CROP AT FAYOUM GOVERNORATE, EGYPT. [PDF]

open access: yesFayoum Journal of Agricultural Research and Development, 2017
The presnt study was carried out during 2012/2013 and 2013/2014alfalfa seasons. The aphid species, Aphis craccivora Koch, Therioaphis trifoliiMon. and Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris were found in both study seasons, A.craccivora and T.

ESTABLISHMENT OF ACYRTHOSIPHON PISUM (HARRIS) (HEMIPTERA: APHIDIDAE) IN NEW SOUTH WALES [PDF]

open access: yesAustralian Journal of Entomology, 1984
Abstract Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) pea aphid was first detected in New South Wales at Yanco in January 1980. A survey conducted in March and May 1980 indicated that A. pisum was restricted to the southern areas of N.S.W. A second survey in June 1981 showed A. pisum had spread to all except 1 of the major lucerne growing areas of the State.

Biological Flora of Britain and Ireland: Cytisus scoparius*

open access: yesJournal of Ecology, Volume 113, Issue 7, Page 1877-1933, July 2025.
Broom is an attractive and common native plant across Britain, Ireland and most of Europe, and yet it is considered a harmful and invasive weed around the rest of the world. This is aided by broom thriving on poor dry soils, helped by using green stems for photosynthesis and having root nodules to fix nitrogen.

Aphidius eadyi n. sp. (Hymenoptera: Aphidiidae), a widely distributed parasitoid of the pea aphid, Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris) in the Palearctic

open access: yes, 1980
Aphidius eadyi n. sp., a parasitoid of Acyrthosiphon pisum in the west Palearctic is described. Its distribution and interspecific relations (crossing experiments) to a related species, Aphidius smithi, are elucidated.

Depredación de Nabis punctipennis en Acyrthosiphon pisum en presencia de la presa alternativa Aphis craccivora en alfalfa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
The feeding behavior of the generalist predator Nabis punctipennis Blanchard (Nabidae) on Acyrthosiphon pisum Harris (Aphididae), two hemipterans common in alfalfa in Chile, was studied in a laboratory experiment using A. pisum, and Aphis craccivora Koch

Dietary range varies among Aphis craccivora populations associated with different host plants: Insights into the alfalfa–cowpea aphid system in Spain

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, Volume 173, Issue 7, Page 724-736, July 2025.
We conducted host specialization trials with three different Aphis craccivora populations. They revealed the generalist nature of the alfalfa‐origin population, which thrived when shifted to both black locust and vetch. Conversely, populations originating from black locust and vetch showed high host specialization, performing poorly when shifted to ...

Entomopathogenic fungi stimulate transgenerational wing induction in pea aphids, Acyrthosiphon pisum (Hemiptera: Aphididae)

open access: yes, 2012
1. Aphid natural enemies include not only predators and parasitoids but also pathogens, of which fungi are the most studied for biological control.

Seasonal dynamics of: the pea aphid, Acyrthosiphon pisum (Harris), its natural enemies the seven spotted lady beetle Coccinella septempunctata Linnaeus and variegated lady beetle Hippodamia variegata Goeze, and their parasitoid Dinocampus coccinellae (Schrank)

open access: yesJournal of Plant Protection Research, 2015
Two important lady beetle species commonly found in alfalfa fields in Iran are the variegated lady beetle Hippodamia variegata Goeze and the seven spotted lady beetle Coccinella septempunctata (Linnaeus, 1758) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae).

Within‐generational but not cross‐generational effects of host plant on Myzus persicae performance and preferences

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, Volume 173, Issue 7, Page 756-766, July 2025.
Green peach aphids (Myzus persicae) maintained on different host plants (bok choy, clover and potato) for 15 generations were evaluated on each host plant to understand the impacts of within‐generational and cross‐generational effects on their performance.
