Remarks on Ad Hoc Networking

2002
This papers describes selected problems and solutions for ad hoc networking, namely, for networking in absence of a fixed infrastructure. All nodes of an ad hoc networks move freely and communicate with each other only if they are in each other transmission range (neighboring nodes).

Service Provision in Ad Hoc Networks

2002
The client-server model continues to dominate distributed computing with increasingly more flexible variants being deployed. Many are centered on the notion of discovering services at run time and on allowing any system component to act as a service provider. The result is a growing reliance on the service registration and discovery mechanisms.
