Infrastructured ad hoc networks
In traditional ad hoc networks, all nodes are considered equal and take equal part in the routing and forwarding of packets. We believe that this may not always be desirable. Rather, some nodes may be equipped with virtually unlimited power supplies, while others have to rely on battery power Thus, we propose the creation of "infrastructured" ad hoc ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Security issues and Challenges in MANET-VANET-FANET: A Survey
Security is one of the key important factors in ad hoc network due to the open wireless medium and dynamic topology of the network. MANET, VANET and FANET are type of ad hoc network and their applications are served the end users in real environment ...

TAD-HOC Routing Protocol for Efficient VANET and Infrastructure-Oriented Communication Network
Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) is a critical factor for Vehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANET). Even though VANET belongs to the class of Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), none of the MANET routing protocol applies to VANET.

Toward an efficient solution for dynamic ad hoc network interoperability [PDF]
An ad hoc network is formed by an impromptu grouping of network capable nodes. The nodes forming the network have unconstrained mobility, and so provide a dynamic network topology.

core
An ad hoc network is composed of nodes that may move arbitrarily and without the support of a stationary infrastructure. The dynamic nature of ad hoc networks makes it very challenging to realize routing and deliver data packets efficiently. This article

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...
