Tuning of electronic, optical and lipophilic behaviours of adamantane through various substitutions

open access: yesMaterials Research Express
Successive tuning of electronic, optical and lipophilic characteristics of adamantane molecules are obtained by various halogen substitutions at bridgehead and bridge positions of adamantane.

Organic Clusters With Well‐Defined Structure via Scaffold Confinement

open access: yesTransformative Chemistry, EarlyView.
Using 3D‐shaped cyclic hydrocarbon scaffolds to spatially isolate electron‐rich moieties yields organic clusters with well‐defined structure, which will inspire further investigations into the in‐depth understanding of the underlying luminescence mechanism and facilitate quantitative and theoretical description of nonconventional luminophores ...

A Mixed Covalent–Supramolecular Interpenetrated Copper–Phosphonate Network

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, EarlyView.
Zigzag Cu–bisphosphonate double strands are connected by dipyridyl linkers to two‐dimensional layers which are organized via hydrogen bonds into a three‐dimensional, two‐fold interpenetrated hydrogen‐bonded framework. A novel copper‐based coordination network [Cu(1,4‐DPB)(H2NBP)] was synthesized via a hydrothermal process using 1,4‐di(pyridin‐4‐yl ...

Synthesis of novel adamantane-containing dihydropyrimidines utilizing Biginelli condensation reaction

open access: yes, 2023
Novel dihydropyrimidines incorporating an adamantane motif have been synthesized using a three-component Biginelli reaction of adamantane-containing β-keto amide N-1-adamantyl acetoacetamide as active methylene compound, thiourea, and aromatic aldehydes ...

Targeting protein–protein interactions with reversible covalent modalities: Non‐cysteine chemistries

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Protein–protein interactions (PPIs) are central to diverse cellular functions, and represent a rapidly expanding class of therapeutic targets. Advancements in covalent drug design have enabled small‐molecule drugs to overcome challenges associated with engaging these targets, such as limited durations of action and difficult‐to‐drug (expansive,

Synthesis and Transformation of Linear Adamantane Assemblies inside Carbon Nanotubes

open access: yes, 2016
We report the assembly and thermal transformation of linear diamondoid assemblies inside carbon nanotubes. Our calculations and observations indicate that these molecules undergo selective reactions within the narrow confining space of a carbon nanotube.

Rigid Multivalent Scaffolds Based on Adamantane

open access: yes, 2016
We present two new synthetic strategies to rigid multivalent scaffolds of the general structure 1 based on adamantane. Both routes start from arylated adamantane derivatives and give the target compounds 12 and 18 in 5 and 7 steps, respectively.

No Charging but Protection: Lifetime Prolongation of Spontaneously‐polarized Electrets for Energy Harvesting Applications

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
A bilayer protection approach is proposed for slowing down the surface potential decay of thin films of spontaneously‐polarized electret materials. The electret and the protective films are characterized, and the protection effectiveness is investigated under the effects of light illumination, water contact and mechanical impact.
