Adaptive random testing through test profiles

Software: Practice and Experience, 2011
SUMMARYRandom testing (RT), which simply selects test cases at random from the whole input domain, has been widely applied to test software and assess the software reliability. However, it is controversial whether RT is an effective method to detect software failures.

Fully Adaptive Cloud Profiling Radar Simulation

IGARSS 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium, 2019
This paper demonstrates how the fully adaptive radar framework can be applied to cloud profiling radars. A simulation based on the GEOS5 nature run dataset is introduced in which the cloud profiling radar continuously adapts its pulse repetition frequency (PRF) such that the unambiguous range is 1.2 times the cloud column height. This process maximizes

Adaptive algorithms for active sound-profiling

IEEE Transactions on Audio, Speech and Language Processing, 2006
Three novel adaptive algorithms are proposed for use in active sound-profiling, all based on the filtered-X least mean square (FXLMS) approach. The algorithms are analyzed for their stability properties and control effort load, and are compared with the currently used adaptive noise equalizer least mean square (ANE-LMS) algorithm.

Metabolic Profile of Adaptive Immune Cells

2021
Recently, evidence derived from different studies has shown that metabolic routes determine the fate of immune cells and impact the immune response, giving rise to an enormous potentially opportunity to treat autoimmunity, cancer, infections or inflammatory diseases.

Adaptive Path Profiling Using Arithmetic Coding

2015 IEEE 21st International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Systems (ICPADS), 2015
Path profiling, which aims to trace a program's execution path, has been widely adopted in various areas such as record and replay, program optimizations, performance diagnosis, and etc. Many path profiling approaches have been proposed in the literature, including B.L. algorithm, and PAP.

Topic taxonomy adaptation for group profiling

ACM Transactions on Knowledge Discovery from Data, 2008
A topic taxonomy is an effective representation that describes salient features of virtual groups or online communities. A topic taxonomy consists of topic nodes. Each internal node is defined by its vertical path (i.e., ancestor and child nodes) and its horizonal list of attributes (or terms).

Ecological Capacity Profile and Adaptation

2016
Ecological capacity, as a concept of volume, can be understood either in absolute terms or in relative terms. The green transition of China, to a large extent, is not an active choice but a reactive response. The natural resource endowments of China are specific, and their spatial distributions are predetermined.

Immune Inspired Adaptive Information Filtering: Focusing on Profile Adaptation

2012
This paper explores approaches to Adaptive Information Filtering (AIF) in the context of changing user interests. Based on the existing artificial immune system for email classification (AISEC), we demonstrate an effective extension to classification based on the body of emails.

Adaptive Profile Control for Sheetmaking Processes

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1987
Abstract Successful control of cross-machine direction (CD) or profile variations in sheet properties is difficult to achieve consistently using conventional control methods. Due to coupling in the cross direction and constraints on the actuators used for profile control, a sophisticated multivariable controller is necessary to compute optimal ...
