Unlocking the Architecture and Component Distribution of Bioengineered and Derived Colloidal Structures from Blood with Neutron Scattering

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 6, Issue 11, November 2025.
Blood‐ and red blood cell (RBC)‐derived colloids are promising biomedical materials but are structurally complex. This work demonstrates how small‐ and ultra‐small‐angle neutron scattering (SANS and USANS) with contrast variation reveal the micro/nanoarchitectures of RBC ghosts, extracellular vesicles (EVs), and plasma proteins.

Field analysis of directionality measurement with inverter based resources in India

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission &Distribution, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
The detection of directionality in distance relay and response for various type of system faults is a key area to be considered. The objective of this paper is to analyse the performance of directional elements in a distance protection for a distributed energy resource connected system in India.

A capacitor-based DC circuit breaker for HVDC power grid [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
DC circuit breakers (DCCBs) are the critical equipment to isolate faults in high-voltage DC grids. The improvement of interruption performances of capacitor-based DCCBs (C-DCCBs) has been widely researched.

Measuring and Predicting Individual Differences in Executive Functions at 14 Months: A Longitudinal Study

open access: yesChild Development, Volume 90, Issue 5, Page e618-e636, September/October 2019., 2019
This study of 195 (108 boys) children seen twice during infancy (Time 1: 4.12 months; Time 2: 14.42 months) aimed to investigate the associations between and infant predictors of executive function (EF) at 14 months. Infants showed high levels of compliance with the EF tasks at 14 months.

Gating residues govern ligand unbinding kinetics from the buried cavity in HIF‐2α PAS‐B

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 33, Issue 11, November 2024.
Abstract While transcription factors have been generally perceived as “undruggable,” an exception is the HIF‐2 hypoxia‐inducible transcription factor, which contains an internal cavity that is sufficiently large to accommodate a range of small‐molecules, including the therapeutically used inhibitor belzutifan. Given the relatively long ligand residence

Sensitivity analysis for the determination of characteristic curves of dead time vs transfer power applied to transmission lines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
For the transmission of large electric power blocks to large lengths, Extra High Voltage systems are a good alternative, where the elements that make up the transmission system must be designed in such a way that they offer high reliability and ...

A novel measurement‐protection‐integrated current transformer based on hybrid core and magnetic field sensor

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications, Volume 18, Issue 7, Page 739-755, July 2024.
In order to address the problem of CT saturation, a novel measurement‐protection‐integrated current transformer (MPICT) is proposed. To verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the MPICT, a series of theoretical analyses, 3D FEM simulations and laboratory tests are conducted.

Voltage dip mitigation for motor starters using an adaptive high speed relay protection on the high voltage transmission system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Currently, the aging state of the protection systems for industrial facilities is calling for a system-wide review of the equipment and the protection schemes used in all these places, calling for a new approach in the design and implementation of these ...
