An adaptive PID controller

2010 International Conference on Machine Learning and Cybernetics, 2010
This paper proposes an adaptive proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller which integrates the fuzzy sets with the Cerebella Model Articulation Controller (CMAC). Three gain parameters of PID controller, constructed by three fuzzy CMAC (FCMAC) models, are real-time modified in the sense of adaptation to solve the tracking control problem of a ...

Adaptive predictive control

Annual Review in Automatic Programming, 1995
Abstract Progress in the design and use of Model-Based Predictive Control is reviewed. The two-degree-of-freedom solution of many predictive algorithms enables optimal set-point response and rejection of known disturbance patterns, improves robustness against model/plant mismatch, or provides a compromise between these objectives.

Decentralized adaptive control

Proceedings of the 2002 American Control Conference (IEEE Cat. No.CH37301), 2002
It is shown that in strictly decentralized adaptive control systems, it is theoretically possible to asymptotically track desired states (outputs) with zero error. The controller of each subsystem needs to know only the desired states (or outputs) of the other subsystems i.e. all the controllers share their prior information and cooperate implicitly.

Adaptive control of ultrafiltration

IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology, 1996
An adaptive controller has been developed and implemented for the control of ultrafiltration in dialysis treatments of patients with renal problems. The reason for using adaptive control is the large difference in process dynamics when different dialysis filters are used.

ADAPTIVE INVERSE CONTROL

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1987
Abstract Adaptive control is seen as a two part problem, control of plant dynamics and control of plant noise. The parts are treated separately. An unknown plant will track an input command signal if the plant is driven by a controller whose transfer function approximates the inverse of the plant transfer function.

Adaptive control in an adaptive optics experiment

Journal of the Optical Society of America A, 2010
This paper presents results from an adaptive optics experiment in which an adaptive control loop augments a classical adaptive optics feedback loop. Closed-loop wavefront errors measured by a self-referencing interferometer are fed back to the control loops, which drive a membrane deformable mirror to correct the wavefront.

Adaptive Cruise Control: A Model Reference Adaptive Control Approach

2020 24th International Conference on System Theory, Control and Computing (ICSTCC), 2020
This paper presents a Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) based framework for vehicle adaptive cruise control systems. The linear longitudinal dynamic model is created with uncertainties in the state and input matrix. The controller structure aims to handle these uncertainties and also maintains the desired distance with the lead vehicle.

The Adaptive Deadbeat Controller

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1990
Abstract A reduced computational adaptive controller is presented, suitable for time varying stable non minimum phase systems. By linking a pole placement technique to a model reference system, significant computational savings can be made where the model chosen has a deadbeat response. The paper reports on the theory and stability criteria of such a

Adaptive control for quadrotors

2013 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2013
This paper presents an indirect adaptive control methodology for quadorotors. The methodology aims at controlling a family of quadrotor micro air vehicle with a common set of sensors and processing hardware but with various sizes, configurations, payloads and propeller types.
