Adaptive weight-modified Riesz mean filter for high-density salt-and-pepper noise removal
This paper introduces a novel filter, the adaptive weight-modified Riesz mean filter (AWMRmF), designed for the effective removal of high-density salt-and-pepper noise.

Adjacent Channel Interference in UMTS Networks [PDF]
One of the purposes of receive filtering in a Universal Mobile Telecommunication System (UMTS) handset receiver is to attenuate out-of-channel interference to provide channel selectivity.

A comparative study of methods for estimating virtual flux at the point of common coupling in grid connected voltage source converters with LCL filter [PDF]
Grid connected Voltage Source Converters (VSCs) with LCL filters usually have voltage measurements at the filter capacitors, while it can be important to control the active or reactive power injection at the grid-side of the LCL filter, for instance at a

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Knowledge-aided bayesian detection in heterogeneous environments [PDF]
We address the problem of detecting a signal of interest in the presence of noise with unknown covariance matrix, using a set of training samples. We consider a situation where the environment is not homogeneous, i.e., when the covariance matrices of the

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A novel interference rejection scheme for DS-CDMA using adaptive noise cancellation [PDF]
This paper proposes a novel solution to the interference cancellation problem in mobile direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems. Conventional adaptive interference cancellation techniques rely on a training sequence to update the ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
