Adaptive pose and inertial parameters estimation of free-floating tumbling space objects using dual vector quaternions

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2017
The robust parameter estimation of unknown space objects is essential to the on-orbit servicing missions. Based on the adaptive filtering techniques along with the dual quaternions modeling methods for pose estimation, this article proposes a dual vector

Adaptive adjustment of noise covariance in Kalman filter for dynamic state estimation [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting, 2017
Accurate estimation of the dynamic states of a synchronous machine (e.g., rotor's angle and speed) is essential in monitoring and controlling transient stability of a power system.

On the Design of Oversampled Filter Banks for Channel Coding [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Oversampled filter banks have been considered for channel coding, because they introduce redundancy into the subband representation of signals and permit more freedom in their design than critically sampled structures.

Safety of Daprodustat for the Treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease Anemia: Final Analysis of a Multicenter Postmarketing Surveillance Study in Japan

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction This final analysis of a multicenter, prospective postmarketing surveillance study evaluated the safety of daprodustat in patients with chronic kidney disease anemia in routine clinical practice in Japan. Methods Patients who initiated daprodustat between September 2020 and July 2022 were registered.

Observations on adaptive vector filters for noise reduction in color images [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
In a series of papers, Plataniotis et al. proposed a number of filters for noise reduction in color images where the noise type is unknown. In this letter, those filters with a unified notation are summarized, and it is shown that they are essentially ...

Adaptive weight-modified Riesz mean filter for high-density salt-and-pepper noise removal

open access: yesJournal of Electrical Systems and Information Technology
This paper introduces a novel filter, the adaptive weight-modified Riesz mean filter (AWMRmF), designed for the effective removal of high-density salt-and-pepper noise.

A Novel Adaptive Kalman Filter With Inaccurate Process and Measurement Noise Covariance Matrices

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2018
In this paper, a novel variational Bayesian (VB)-based adaptive Kalman filter (VBAKF) for linear Gaussian state-space models with inaccurate process and measurement noise covariance matrices is proposed.

Adaptive Kuwahara filter [PDF]

open access: yesSignal, Image and Video Processing, 2015
A new filter was created by improving the standard Kuwahara filter. It allows more efficient noise reduction without blurring the edges and image preparation for segmentation and further analyses operations. One of the biggest and most common restrictions encountered in filter algorithms is the need for a declarative definition of the filter window ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.
