Lossy compression by adaptive mesh refinement
We present our current research on lossy data compression with adaptive mesh refinement techniques. By combining the ESM submodel framework MESSy with the adaptive mesh library t8code we can significantly reduce the file size of simulation output files.

Gonzalez Martinez and collaborators develop a strategy to formulate high performance GelMA‐based bioinks with low solids contents. The resulting bioinks enable 3D bioprinting at 37 °C of high‐fidelity structures with tunable mechanical properties that support high cell viability and function.

Experimenting with the p4est library for AMR simulations of two-phase flows
Many physical problems involve spatial and temporal inhomogeneities that require a very fine discretization in order to be accurately simulated. Using an adaptive mesh, a high level of resolution is used in the appropriate areas while

Adaptive Mesh Refinement in CTH [PDF]
This paper reports progress on implementing a new capability of adaptive mesh refinement into the Eulerian multimaterial shock- physics code CTH. The adaptivity is block-based with refinement and unrefinement occurring in an isotropic 2:1 manner.

Large-scale adaptive mantle convection simulation
A new generation, parallel adaptive-mesh mantle convection code, Rhea, is described and benchmarked. Rhea targets large-scale mantle convection simulations on parallel computers, and thus has been developed with a strong focus on computational efficiency
