C-Routing: An adaptive hierarchical NoC routing methodology

2011 IEEE/IFIP 19th International Conference on VLSI and System-on-Chip, 2011
Deterministic routing algorithms are easier to design and implement in NoC but these fail to adapt to congestion. Table based adaptive routing solutions are not scalable. As the number of nodes increases, the area required for routing table becomes a penalty. In this paper, we propose a new hierarchical cluster based adaptive routing called ‘C-Routing’

On quadratic adaptive routing algorithms

Communications of the ACM, 1976
Two analytic models of a store-and-forward communications network are constructed, one to find the optimal message routing and the other to illustrate the equilibrium (stationary state) maintained by an adaptive routing algorithm. These models show that adaptive routing does not satisfy the necessary conditions for an optimal routing.

Adaptive Q-Routing with random echo and route memory

2017 20th Conference of Open Innovations Association (FRUCT), 2017
Mobile ad hoc networks require routing algorithms that provide high performance in terms of delivery times of packets for dynamically changing topologies under various load conditions. A routing algorithm is proposed which is based on adaptive Q-routing technique with Full Echo extension.

L-turn routing: an adaptive routing in irregular networks

International Conference on Parallel Processing, 2001., 2001
Network-based parallel processing using commodity personal computers has been widely developed. Since such systems require high degree of flexibility and scalability of wiring, a high-speed network with an irregular topology is often needed. In traditional routing algorithms for irregular networks, available paths are considerably restricted in order ...

Adaptive Learning of Semantic Locations and Routes

Proceedings of the 1st International ICST Conference on Autonomic Computing and Communication Systems, 2007
Adaptation of devices and applications based on contextual information has a great potential to enhance usability and mitigate the increasing complexity of mobile devices. An important topic in context-aware computing is to learn semantic locations and routes of mobile device users.

ARPM: An Adaptive Routing Protocol for MANETs

2006 ACS/IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Services, 2006
The inherent dynamism of mobile ad hoc network urged the development of many routing protocols. However, the proposed solutions do not take into consideration variation of mobility within the network. This leads to inefficient solutions for real networks scenarios.
