A Worm‐Inspired Origami Robot with Multimodal Locomotion for Adaptive Mobility in Complex Pipeline Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An origami worm‐inspired robot achieves multimodal locomotion in confined pipelines through mechatronic integration that embeds actuation, control, and communication within each origami module. Large, reversible configuration and dimensional changes enable 25 gaits synthesized by a unified framework across peristaltic, inchworm, and wheel‐rolling modes

Adaptive Error Resilience for Video Streaming

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Multimedia Broadcasting, 2009
Compressed video sequences are vulnerable to channel errors, to the extent that minor errors and/or small losses can result in substantial degradation. Thus, protecting compressed data against channel errors is imperative.

Adaptive Video Streaming over LTE Unlicensed

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we consider the problem of adaptive video streaming over an LTE-A network that utilizes Licensed Assisted Access (LAA) which is an instance of LTE Unlicensed. With LTE Unlicensed users of the LTE-A network opportunisti- cally access radio resources from unlicensed and licensed carriers through Carrier Aggregation (CA). Our objective is to
