Adaptive Streaming Of Scalable Stereoscopic Video Over DCCP
2007 IEEE 15th Signal Processing and Communications Applications, 2007We propose a new adaptive streaming model that utilizes DCCP in order to efficiently stream multi-view video over the Internet for 3DTV transport. The model effectively allocates the available channel bandwidth, which is calculated by DCCP, among the views.

Adaptive Streaming of Stereographic Video
2009We present a tool for online compression and streaming of stereoscopic video and images and a consideration on adaptation of the video stream to network conditions. The software allows to use different encoding schemes for video compression and streams the stereo frames using UDP protocol.

HTTP Adaptive Multiview Video Streaming
2016The advances in video coding and networking technologies have paved the way for the delivery of multiview video (MVV) using HTTP. However, large amounts of data and dynamic network conditions result in frequent network congestion, which may prevent streaming packets from being delivered to the client. As a consequence, the 3D visual experience may well

Video quality based adaptive wireless video streaming to multiple users
2008 IEEE International Symposium on Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting, 2008The paper proposes a cross-layer approach for joint closed-loop control of wireless video transmission to multiple users. The approach allows joint adaptation of the multiple users source rates by maximizing the worst served user video quality, taking into account the characteristics of the video sources, channel conditions and user requirements.

Adaptable video streaming over wireless networks
Proceedings. 14th International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks, 2005. ICCCN 2005., 2006The paper addresses the issue of controlling streaming of scalable video over wireless links to resource-constrained devices (terminals). A controller on the terminal maximizes user perceived quality taking into account available computing resources and condition of the network.

Multidimensional transcoding for adaptive video streaming
ACM SIGMultimedia Records, 2009The prominence of digital video on the Internet is rising constantly. Faster Internet connections and more powerful devices make video streaming over the Internet more and more popular. With mobile devices, however, the usability of digital videos that are streamed over a wireless network connection is still limited by the available resources.

Fine granularity adaptive multireceiver video streaming
SPIE Proceedings, 2007Effcient delivery of video data over computer networks has been studied extensively for decades. Still, multi-receiver video delivery is challenging, due to heterogeneity and variability in network availability, end node capabilities, and receiver preferences.

Low-latency dynamic adaptive video streaming
2014 IEEE International Symposium on Broadband Multimedia Systems and Broadcasting, 2014Accurate, dynamic rate selection is considered a hard problem in stream switching video applications over Internet Protocol. Not only the feedback delay but also the unawareness about the dynamics of the underlying HTTP/TCP transport layer require streaming applications to implement huge receiver buffers in the order of tens of seconds so as to ...

Adaptation strategies for streaming SVC video
2010 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2010This paper aims to determine the best rate adaptation strategy to maximize the received video quality when streaming SVC video over the Internet. Different bandwidth estimation techniques are implemented for different transport protocols, such as using the TFRC rate when available or calculating the packet transmission rate otherwise.

Content-Aware Adaptive Video Streaming System
2005 International Conference on Information and Communication Technology, 2006Since there are no quality of service (QoS) guarantees for video streaming over best-effort IP networks, adaptation for both the audio and video streams of an established real-time streaming session must be applied to respond to network congestion conditions.
