Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A Geometry-Sensitive Munk-Type Added-Mass Framework for Slender Airships
Classical Munk-type added-mass modeling remains a fundamental tool in airship flight dynamics because the displaced fluid mass is comparable to the vehicle mass and contributes directly to the generalized inertia.

Numerical analysis for the added mass of oscillating body in viscous fluid
In many fluid-structure interaction problems, the virtual mass, namely, the added mass is one of important interests. In the present study, the authors investigate the validity of a numerical method previously proposed by them in order to specify the ...

Adding a psychological dimension to mass gatherings medicine [PDF]
Mass gatherings pose distinctive challenges for medicine. One neglected aspect of this is that the behaviour of people participating in such events is different from the behaviour they exhibit in their everyday lives. This paper seeks to describe a social psychological perspective on the processes shaping people's behaviour at mass gatherings and to ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.
