The Mechanism of NLRP3 Inflammasome Activation and Its Roles in Chronic Rhinosinusitis

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT NLRP3 (NLR family pyrin domain containing 3) is one of the crucial receptors in pathogen recognition receptor (PRR) families which can recognize the pathogen‐associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) and the damage‐associated molecular patterns (DAMPs), thus triggering innate immune response. After NLRP3 activation, it recruits the adaptor protein

Integrative Analysis of Plasma Proteome and Genome Reveals Novel Drug Targets for Chronic Rhinosinusitis and Nasal Polyps

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) and nasal polyps (NP) are chronic inflammatory conditions with unsatisfactory treatment outcomes due to frequent recurrence of refractory disease. Identifying new therapeutic targets is essential. Methods We conducted a proteome‐wide Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis by integrating genome‐wide ...

Chromosome‐scale genome assembly of the South American fruit fly, Anastrepha fraterculus sp.1

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
Anastrepha fraterculus sp. 1 is a major fruit fly pest in Argentina, currently controlled through chemical treatments and traps. This study aims to enhance the genomic understanding of this species to support the development of sterile insect technique as well as the use of innovative technologies.

Identification and characterization of a cucumber accession resistant to tomato leaf curl New Delhi virus

open access: yesAnnals of Applied Biology, EarlyView.
Tomato leaf curl New Delhi virus (ToLCNDV) causes significant yield and fruit quality losses in cucurbit crops, particularly in the Mediterranean region. We identified a new source of resistance to ToLCNDV in cucumber (accession ABS.PE.045) and mapped resistance to four genomic intervals in chromosomes 1, 2, 6, and 7.
