AbstractNeoplastic proliferation of the meibomian glands is most often characterized by a tarsal tumor of the eyelid conjunctiva, having the clinical appearance of a chalazion. As such, the tumor is frequently not recognized as a neoplasm and is treated conservatively as an inflammatory lesion.

A case of metastasizing adenocarcinoma of the lacrimal gland with sebaceous differentiation is described, which probably originated in a benign mixed tumour (BMT), with infiltration of the orbital muscles, the bony orbital wall, the neck lymph nodes, and the parotid gland.

The synchronous or metachronous occurrence of 2 tumors of the salivary glands in a patient is rare. These tumors are usually benign and of the same histologic type. Here we report a 78-year-old woman who developed a sebaceous lymphadenoma and an acinic cell adenocarcinoma simultaneously in the left parotid gland.

Sebaceous Adenocarcinoma of the External Auditory Canal in a New Zealand White Rabbit

A rare sebaceous gland carcinoma of the external auditory canal in a rabbit is described. The tumour was characterized histologically by foci and cords of markedly pleomorphic cells with abundant cytoplasm and variable numbers of vacuoles. A single pulmonary mass had similar histological characteristics.
