Molecular, genetic, virological, and biochemical analysis in combination with global proteome and phosphoproteome profiling and functional assays were applied to study the role of PR130 in the context of HSV‐1 replication. The observations reveal that host‐intrinsic mechanisms regulate HSV‐1 replication and highlight PR130 as a susceptibility factor of

Identification of genes differentially expressed as result of adenovirus type 5- and adenovirus type 12-transformation [PDF]
Background: Cells transformed by human adenoviruses (Ad) exhibit differential capacities to induce tumours in immunocompetent rodents; for example, Ad12-transformed rodent cells are oncogenic whereas Ad5-transformed cells are not. The E1A gene determines

A New Bovine Adenovirus Related to Human Adenovirus.
SummaryA second bovine adenovirus has been isolated. The virus is antigenically similar to a human virus as determined by 1) neutralization with human gamma globulin and human adult sera, and 2) possession of a complement fixing antigen similar to that of the human adenovirus. The related type of human adenovirus remains unknown.

Glioblastoma (GBM) exhibits RFX7 silencing via promoter hypermethylation, which downregulates PIK3IP1 to activate PI3K/AKT signaling, increase lactate accumulation, and enhance histone H4K12 lactylation. This lactylation upregulates PD‐L1/CSF1 expression and drives the immunosuppressive microenvironment formation.

Abstract Neonatal acute liver failure (ALF) carries a high mortality rate; however, little data exist on its peritransplant hospital course. This project aimed to identify factors associated with outcomes in neonates with ALF using large multicenter databases.

Adenovirus and its interaction with host cell proteins
The E1B55k gene in adenovirus type 5 was studied by generating recombinant viruses in which the E1B55k gene was N-terminally tagged with either a cyan fluorescent protein (CFP) tag or a tandem affinity purification (TAP) tag.

Smart Nanotechnologies for Multimodal Neuromodulation and Brain Interfacing
Recent advances in smart nanotechnologies are expanding the toolbox for brain interfacing, from wireless neuromodulation and high‐resolution sensing to targeted delivery within the central nervous system. By combining responsive nanomaterials with bioinspired design, these platforms enable multimodal interactions with neurons and glia, while also ...

Studies of the adenovirus 5 L1 gene aimed at developing L1 gene deficiencies for use in gene therapy vectors [PDF]
Gene therapy is a novel approach to the treatment of human disease that is in its very early stages of development. Its purpose is to add to and/or alter the pattern of gene expression in cells so as to achieve a therapeutic benefit and is being ...

ABSTRACT Despite the transformative impact of cancer immunotherapies such as immune checkpoint blockade, durable clinical responses remain limited. Increasing evidence indicates that antitumor immunity is governed not only by the tumor microenvironment, but also by systemic immune regulation mediated by peripheral immune organs. Among these, the spleen
