Infectivity of human adenovirus-1 DNA

Virology, 1972
Abstract Isolated human adenovirus type 1 DNA infects DEAE-dextran treated human embryo kidney cells in tissue culture. That this is a real property of the DNA was shown by its inactivation by DNase, the requirement for DEAE-dextran, and the lack of inhibition by either heat (56 °, 60 min) or adenovirus-1 specific antiserum.

Serological evidence of human adenovirus infections in animals

Journal of Comparative Pathology, 1976
Abstract Twenty-two individual avian and mammalian sera from a zoo were investigated by the haemagglutination inhibition (HAI) and virus neutralization (VN) tests for the presence of specific antibodies to common and less common human adenovirus serotypes, viz. types 5 (Ad 5) and 8 (Ad 8), respectively.

Adenovirus Infection of Human Embryo Liver Cells

Nature, 1967
THE viruses of human hepatitis are elusive, but new tissue culture techniques have resulted in a rapid increase of the number and variety of the so-called hepatitis “candidate viruses”, although conclusive proof of their aetiological association with hepatitis is not available.

Adenovirus Colitis in Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection

The American Journal of Surgical Pathology, 1998
Adenovirus infection of the gastrointestinal tract in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients is rarely reported, probably because of a lack of familiarity of most pathologists with diagnostic criteria during routine light microscopy and possible misidentification as cytomegalovirus infection.

Renal Infection Due to Adenovirus in a Patient with Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection

Clinical Infectious Diseases, 1994
Opportunistic viral infections in persons with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection are well described, but reports of morbidity or mortality caused by adenoviruses among this patient population are uncommon despite the frequent isolation of adenoviruses from patients with HIV infection.

UV-INDUCED REVERSION OF ADENOVIRUS 5ts2 INFECTING HUMAN CELLS

Photochemistry and Photobiology, 1981
Abstract— Among the progeny produced by UV‐irradiated adenovirus 5ts2 when infecting either A498 (human kidney tumor) or CRL1187 (normal human fibroblast) strains at 32° C were a certain number (UV–fluence dependent) of revertants able to grow at 39° C.

Adenovirus Infections in Humans

1984
Adenoviruses are ubiquitous agents that infect humans of all ages. The discovery of the first adenovirus types three decades ago paved the way for countless studies that continue to uncover additional viral strains and ever expand our comprehension of their significance to man.

[Infectivity of Human Adenovirus Type 55 to Human Intestinal Cells].

Sichuan da xue xue bao. Yi xue ban = Journal of Sichuan University. Medical science edition, 2021
To examine the infectivity of human adenovirus type 55 (HAdV-55) in human intestinal cells.Caco-2 cells were cultured in vitro, and infected with HAdV-3, 7, 14 and 55. The expression of viral proteins in infected cells was detected with immunofluorescence method.
