The Dalbergioid legumes (Leguminosae) circumscribe three clades: Dalbergia, Pterocarpus, and Adesmia. The Adesmia clade englobes today five genus, with Adesmia as the most diverse, with approximately 240 species (divided into two subgenera and 43 series).
