NeuroVisio SyncPatch: A Skin‐Conformal Multimodal EMG–Motion Sensing Platform for Quantitative Neuromuscular Rehabilitation and Performance Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
NeuroVisio SyncPatch integrates skin‐conformal electromyography (EMG) electrodes with camera‐tracked markers to jointly assess muscle activity and three‐dimensional knee kinematics during rehabilitation. Parallel feedback pathways provide real‐time kinematic guidance during movement and post‐trial neuromuscular feedback.

Adhesive wear as ductile fracture

open access: yes, 2022
Building on an analogy to ductile fracture mechanics, we quantify the size of debris particles created during adhesive wear. Earlier work suggested a linear relation between tangential work and wear debris volume, assuming that the debris size is proportional to the micro contact size multiplied by the junction shear strength.

Effect of adhesion on material removal during adhesive wear

open access: yesPhysical Review Materials, 2019
It has been empirically understood that one can diminish wear by reducing adhesion between sliding surfaces. A clear contribution of interfacial adhesion into the process of surface material removal, however, remains elusive as most wear observations are obtained from post-factum analyses of worn surfaces. Investigating the complete life of an adhesive

A story of two transitions: From adhesive to abrasive wear and from ductile to brittle regime [PDF]

open access: yes
Atomistic simulations performed with a family of model potential with tunable hardness have proven to be a great tool for advancing the understanding of wear processes at the asperity level. They have been instrumental in finding a critical length scale,

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.
