[Intravaginal administration of CDDP for adenocarcinoma].
Gan to kagaku ryoho. Cancer & chemotherapy, 1991Single vaginal administration of CDDP was done in a case of adenocarcinoma when relapse in the vaginal stump followed surgery for uterine corpus carcinoma. A tumor the size of a large fingertip in the vaginal stump was completely eliminated via 15-time (75 mg) CDDP vaginal administration, suggesting that this treatment was effective against ...

Intravaginal Mesalamine Administration: A Novel Technique for Neovaginal Colitis
Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent GynecologyWe aim to present a novel technique for the treatment of neovaginal diversion colitis (also known as neovaginal colitis).OT is a 21-year-old cisgender female with a history of VACTERL who underwent a colonic vaginoplasty as an infant. She presented with symptoms indicative of and later diagnosed as neovaginal diversion colitis.

Abortion of early pregnancy by the intravaginal administration of prostaglandin F2α
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1973Abstract Intravaginal prostaglandin F 2α (PGF 2α ) as an aqueous Tham salt solution was evaluated as a method for abortion of early gestations. Two drug concentrations were studied. All 4 patients treated with a 50 mg. per milliliter solution failed to abort and required dilatation and suction evacuation. Six of 8 gravidas treated with a 200 mg.

[Intravaginal administration of CDDP in cervical cancer].
Nihon Gan Chiryo Gakkai shi, 1990An 84-year-old woman was seen on June 19, 1989 with the chief complaint of excessive abnormal genital bleeding of 10 days' duration. The patient was diagnosed as FIGO stage IV b (positive metastasis to lung and Virchow's nodes) and was urgently admitted because of massive bleeding, which was well controlled by whole pelvic irradiation (Lineac 3,000 rad)

Radioimmunoassay of serum d-norgestrel in women following oral and intravaginal administration
Contraception, 1975A radioimmunoassay (RIA) method for measuring d-Norgestrel (d-Ng) in serum has been developed utilizing petroleum ether extraction, an antiserum raised against d-Norgestrel3-(O-carboxymethyl) oxime-e-aminocaproic acid — bovine serum albumin, d-Norgestrel-3-(O-carboxymethyl) imino- [125I]-iodohistamine, and dextran-coated charcoal separation.

Abstract Mid-trimester abortion was successfully induced in 28 of 31 patients by administration of vaginal prostaglandin F 2 α-methylester. A suppository containing 1.5 mg was given every three hours. Two of the patients who failed to abort needed a D & C after 24 and 30 hours.

Two series were used in studying the use of a low dose of intravaginal cloprostenole in oestrous synchronisation of zebu cows. In series I, 39 cows were given 175 mcg of cloprostenole with a plastic catheter in the anterior vagina twice, with a 12-day interval.

The technical feasibility of utilizing tampons as a drug delivery system for prolonged intravaginal drug administrations was studied. Several commercially available brands of tampons were examined. The methodology for the incorporation of various doses of metronidazole, an antitrichomonas agent, in tampons was described.
